My view
Petite taille, grande allure
The Santos Demoiselle owes its name to the “Demoiselle” airplane designed in 1907 by Alberto Santos-Dumont, the aviator for whom Louis Cartier had created, as early as 1904, one of the very first wristwatches. It takes up the codes of the Santos in a slimmer, more feminine version with softened lines.
Its mother-of-pearl dial with shimmering reflections features Roman numerals and blued steel sword hands, while the square bezel with visible screws and the crown set with a sapphire cabochon are the signature of Cartier elegance. A refined, easy-to-wear watch that moves naturally from everyday life to grand occasions.
