Jaeger Lecoultre Powermatic - 18k gold case, 35 mm - ’50s.
GOOD TO KNOW
Between the two world wars, the Swiss fine watchmaking brand filed no fewer than 80 patents and the manufacture developed the legendary Reverso, before creating round watches from the ’50s onward.
This 35 mm Jaeger Lecoultre (excluding crown) has the distinctive feature of a 40h00 power reserve; its 18k gold case houses a “bumper” automatic movement.
The dial has a light patina from age, with a generic leather strap and an unsigned crown.
I love the 35 mm 18k gold case of this Jaeger Lecoultre and its asymmetric lugs, rarer on Powermatics.
