Universal Genève Polerouter – The elegance of an aviation legend

This iconic piece was born of a historic feat: the first flight linking Los Angeles to Copenhagen, by the Scandinavian airline SAS. At the time, crossing the polar region was a huge technical challenge — notably because of the magnetic fields liable to disrupt the onboard instruments.

Vintage Swiss automatic Universal Genève Polerouter Date watch, caliber 1-69 Micro Rotor. Asymmetric steel case dimensions: 35 mm without the crown.

I love its design, signed by the famous Gérald Genta, which combines timeless elegance and functionality, making this watch an icon coveted by collectors and watch enthusiasts.
