Pre-owned watches in Los Angeles

Buying from Los Angeles

If you are looking for pre-owned watches in Los Angeles, the process is straightforward. You choose a watch from the online shop, where each piece is shown with detailed characteristics and photos. Before ordering, you can write to me with any question, or ask for more photos of a particular watch.

Once you decide, you place your order and I prepare the shipment as soon as payment is confirmed. I use no marketplace and no intermediary: I own my stock, and the watch you buy comes directly from me. You will not meet me in Los Angeles, but you can see any watch from the site at 29 rue de la Cigogne, 45100 Orléans, France, by appointment. The showroom holds no stock, so a specific watch is shown on request.

What I check before a watch is listed

Every watch passes through my hands before it is listed. I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If it does not convince me, it is not sold. This applies to the whole stock, which includes Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Universal Genève. Each watch comes with a one-year warranty.

Used Rolex in Los Angeles

When you look for a used Rolex in Los Angeles, the same rules apply as anywhere else, but the distance makes a careful eye more important. For model lines from the 1970s to the 1990s, I pay close attention to the case, dial, hands and bracelet, because small details are often the difference between a watch that has been preserved and one that has been altered.

Originality matters on these pieces. A good service history tells you how the watch was maintained; box and papers are helpful but not always present on a watch from this period. Condition should be judged together with originality, not instead of it. If you are searching for used watches in Los Angeles as a first-time buyer, ask for photos of the movement and the inside of the case back before you commit.

Shipping to the United States

Shipping to the United States costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch, by DHL Express. The watch is insured for its full value, packaged discreetly, and handed over against signature. I ship only after payment is confirmed.

Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes, and the carrier’s clearance fees are payable by the buyer, directly to DHL, on delivery. They are not included in the price of the watch or in the shipping cost, and they depend on the country, the value and the origin of the watch. I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.

Selling rather than buying?

I buy pre-owned and vintage watches too. Send me photos of yours and I will tell you what I think of it.
