Pre-owned watches in Toronto

I am Olivier Guesdon, and I run Chronostyle from Orléans, France; I have no shop in Toronto, and every watch ships from Orléans. I buy and sell pre-owned and vintage watches, and I own every piece I offer. If you are searching for used watches in Toronto, this is how I work with you from a distance.

Buying used watches in Toronto

Chronostyle has existed since 2022, but my time with watches goes back further. I have fifteen years of experience in watches, eight of them in Geneva.

The online shop shows each watch with detailed characteristics and photos. Before ordering, you can write to me with any question or ask for more photos of a particular watch.

Once payment is confirmed, I prepare the shipment. Delivery to Toronto goes by DHL Express and is handed over against signature.

If you are ever in France, the showroom is at 29 rue de la Cigogne, 45100 Orléans, France, by appointment. It holds no stock — a watch from the site can be shown on request.

What I check before a watch is sold

Every watch passes through my hands before it is listed. I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If it does not convince me, it is not sold.

Each watch comes with a one-year warranty.

I own my stock — no marketplace, no intermediary.

Shipping to Toronto: cost, time and duties

Shipping to Canada costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch by DHL Express. The parcel is insured for the full value of the watch and sent in discreet packaging.

Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes, and the carrier's clearance fees are payable by the buyer directly to DHL on delivery. They are not included in the price of the watch or in the shipping cost, and depend on the country, the value and the origin of the watch. I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.

What to look for in a pre-owned watch in Toronto

Whatever the watch, the same questions apply: condition, originality, service history, box and papers. Condition comes first. Examine the case, the lugs, the dial and the bracelet before you worry about accessories.

Service history tells you how the watch has been maintained. Box and papers are useful, but they are not a substitute for the watch itself.

Rolex and Omega steel sports watches and everyday classics

The brands I work with include Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Universal Genève. On a steel sports watch, I look at the case, the bezel, the bracelet and the clasp before anything else.

A used Rolex in Toronto deserves the same scrutiny as one anywhere else. Honest wear is often more telling than a fresh shine, and a movement that has been serviced at reasonable intervals matters more than a full set.

If you have a watch to sell in Toronto, I buy pre-owned and vintage pieces from abroad as well: the process starts with a few photos.
