What I check before a watch is listed

Every watch passes through my hands before it appears in the shop. I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If it does not convince me, it is not sold. Each watch comes with a one-year warranty.

Shipping and duties to the United States

Shipping to the United States costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch. I send each watch by DHL Express, insured for the full value, in discreet packaging, handed over against signature.

Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes and the carrier's clearance fees are payable by you, directly to DHL, on delivery. They are not included in the price of the watch or in the shipping cost, and they depend on the country, the value and the origin of the watch. I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.

Rolex Datejust and classic steel Rolex

A used Rolex in Chicago often leads to a Datejust or a classic steel model, and for good reason. These watches have aged well, but they still need scrutiny. Check that the dial and hands match the reference and period, that the case has not been over-polished, and that the bracelet remains tight. Originality matters more than a low price.
