The showroom at 29 rue de la Cigogne, 45100 Orléans, France, is open by appointment and holds no stock. A watch from the site can be shown there on request.
What I check before a watch is listed
I have fifteen years of experience in watches, eight of them in Geneva. Every watch passes through my hands before it appears online. I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If a movement, a dial, or a case does not convince me, the watch is not offered for sale.
Chronostyle has existed since 2022 as an independent business. I buy and sell pre-owned and vintage watches, and I own my stock: no marketplace, no intermediary. Brands I work with include Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Universal Genève. Each watch comes with a one-year warranty.
Shipping to New York and the United States
Delivery to the United States costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch. The watch travels by DHL Express, insured for its full value, in discreet packaging, and is handed over against signature.
Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes, and the carrier's clearance fees are payable by the buyer directly to DHL on delivery. They are not included in the price of the watch or in the shipping cost, and they depend on the country, the value, and the origin of the watch. I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.
What to look for in a pre-owned chronograph
For a pre-owned or vintage watch, four things matter differently: condition, originality, service history, and box and papers. An honest watch can exist without its box, but a replaced dial or an over-polished case alters what you are buying.
Chronographs deserve particular attention. On an Omega Speedmaster, a TAG Heuer Carrera, or a vintage chronograph, I check that the chronograph starts cleanly, stops without slipping, and resets to zero. I also verify that the pushers, crown, and movement are correct for the reference, and that any replaced part does not alter the watch's character.
If you are looking for pre-owned watches NYC and a chronograph is on your list, ask about the last service and the behavior of the chronograph seconds hand. A clear answer often tells you more than a box.
If you have a watch to sell in New York, I buy pre-owned and vintage pieces from abroad as well: the process starts with a few photos.
