Pre-owned watches in San Diego

If you are looking for used watches in San Diego, the distance between California and Orléans may feel like an obstacle. In practice, buying from abroad is simpler than it seems when the watch is prepared with care and shipped transparently.

Buying a pre-owned watch from San Diego

I do not have a shop in San Diego — every watch ships from Orléans — and buying pre-owned watches in San Diego from me means choosing a watch online, asking questions, and receiving a parcel from France. The online shop shows each watch with detailed characteristics and photos, and a selection of current arrivals is available there.

Before you order, write to me with any question or ask for more photos of a watch. I buy and sell pre-owned and vintage watches, and I own my stock: no marketplace, no intermediary. Chronostyle has existed since 2022, and I bring fifteen years of experience in watches, eight of them in Geneva.

Used Rolex in San Diego: what I check before listing

A used Rolex in San Diego should be judged the same way as one bought in Paris or Geneva. For a sports model, I pay attention to the case, bracelet stretch, bezel action, dial, hands, and movement.

Every watch passes through my hands before it is listed. I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If a watch does not convince me, it is not sold.

When you consider a pre-owned or vintage sports watch, focus on condition, originality, service history, and whether the box and papers are present. A clean dial and a tight bracelet often matter more than a full set, but the full set adds context.

Rolex and Omega sports watches

For Rolex and Omega sports watches, I look closely at the parts that wear first: the lugs, the crown, the clasp, and the insert or bezel. On an Omega, I also check the movement's service records; on a Rolex, I check the date change, the winding feel, and the caseback.

Each watch comes with a one-year warranty. The brands I work with include Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Universal Genève.

Shipping and duties to the United States

Shipping to the United States costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch by DHL Express. I prepare the shipment once payment is confirmed. The parcel is insured for the full value of the watch, in discreet packaging, and is handed over against signature.

Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes, and the carrier's clearance fees are payable by you directly to DHL on delivery. They are not included in the price of the watch or in the shipping cost, and depend on the country, the value, and the origin of the watch. I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.

Seeing a watch in Orléans

If you travel to France, the showroom is at 29 rue de la Cigogne, 45100 Orléans, France, by appointment. It holds no stock, so a watch from the site can be shown on request.
