Pre-owned watches in Doha

If you are looking for used watches in Doha, the distance between Qatar and France can feel like an obstacle. It does not have to be. I run Chronostyle from Orléans, and every watch I sell is here with me, checked by hand before it is offered.

Used watches in Doha

I have no shop in Doha, and my stock is not listed through a marketplace or an intermediary. I buy and sell pre-owned and vintage watches, and I own each piece myself. For pre-owned watches in Doha, this means the watch you see online is the one I inspect before it ships. If you are ever in France, I can show you a watch from the site at my showroom at 29 rue de la Cigogne, 45100 Orléans, France, by appointment; the showroom holds no stock.

How buying from Doha works

  • Choose a watch and study its characteristics and photos in the online shop.
  • Write to me with any question or ask for more photos.
  • Confirm the purchase and pay.
  • I prepare the watch once payment is confirmed.

Shipping and duties to Doha

Shipping to Doha costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch. I use DHL Express, insured for the full value of the watch, in discreet packaging, handed over against signature.

Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes and the carrier's clearance fees are payable by the buyer, directly to DHL, on delivery. They are not included in the watch price or the shipping cost. The amount depends on the country, the value and the origin of the watch, and I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.

What I check before a watch is sold

Chronostyle has existed since 2022, and I have fifteen years of experience in watches, eight of them in Geneva. Every watch passes through my hands before it is listed: I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If it does not convince me, it is not sold. Each watch comes with a one-year warranty.

For second hand watches in Doha, I would look first at condition, originality, service history, box and papers. Condition is not only about scratches; it is also about how much of the original shape and finishing remains. Originality means the dial, hands, case and movement belong together for that reference and period. Service history shows whether the watch has been maintained, and box and papers can add context without being a substitute for inspection.

Cartier and Rolex: what deserves attention

Cartier and Rolex each call for close attention. With a Cartier, I pay close attention to case proportions, dial signature and bracelet details; a replaced crown or a refinished dial can change the whole watch. With a Rolex, the reference, movement, dial and bracelet need to agree with each other. I would rather pass on an unclear example than sell one that has been rebuilt without care. I also work with Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Universal Genève.

Selling rather than buying?

I buy pre-owned and vintage watches too. Send me photos of yours and I will tell you what I think of it.
