Pre-owned watches in Boston

I am Olivier Guesdon. Chronostyle has existed since 2022, and I have fifteen years of experience in watches, eight of them in Geneva. I buy and sell pre-owned and vintage watches from Orléans, France, and although I have no shop in Boston, I work directly with buyers across the United States.

Used watches in Boston, shipped from Orléans

I have no shop in Boston, and I do not pretend otherwise. I own my stock — no marketplace, no intermediary. Every watch is in Orléans, France, and can be seen there by appointment at 29 rue de la Cigogne, 45100 Orléans, France. The showroom holds no stock — a watch from the site can be shown on request.

How buying from Boston works

Each watch on the online shop is shown with detailed characteristics and photographs. If you are looking for used watches in Boston, the process is simple: choose a watch, write to me with any question or ask for more photos, and pay. Once payment is confirmed, I prepare the shipment from Orléans.

A search for used watches Boston MA often raises two questions: condition and import costs. Buying pre-owned watches Boston means buying internationally, and the main practical difference is shipping.

What I check before a watch is listed

Every watch passes through my hands before it is listed. I open it, inspect it, and have it serviced. If it does not convince me, it is not sold. Each watch comes with a one-year warranty.

What to look for in a Longines, Omega or Breitling classic

I work with brands that include Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and Universal Genève. For a vintage Longines, Omega or Breitling, I look at condition before anything else: dial, case, crown, and movement. Originality matters: a replaced dial or an incorrect crown changes what you are buying. Service history matters just as much, because a regularly maintained watch is easier to assess. Box and papers are useful, but on older watches they are often absent, so the watch itself has to make the case.

A clean dial is not enough. I also pay attention to the quality of any previous service work, because a good movement can be compromised by careless handling. Ask about the service history in detail, not just whether the watch runs.

Shipping and duties to the United States

Shipping to the United States costs €150 and takes about 3 to 6 business days from dispatch by DHL Express. The watch is insured for its full value, sent in discreet packaging, and handed over against signature.

Customs duties, import VAT or local taxes and the carrier's clearance fees are payable by the buyer, directly to DHL, on delivery. They are not included in the price of the watch or in the shipping cost, and they depend on the country, the value and the origin of the watch. I always declare the watch at its real value and with its true origin.

Thinking of selling your own watch?

I appraise watches from photos, from Boston or anywhere else. If we agree, the watch travels to me with a secure carrier, in a sealed package. Here is how it works.
